Welcome to T&K Solar PV

Due to the confusion caused by the change in feed in tariff (FIT) levels and the new Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) requirements, T&K have updated their FAQ section in order that some clarity can be brought to this area.

http://www.tksolarpv.co.uk/category/faqs/

We hope this comprehensive Q&A section answers any questions that you may have. If not, please do not hesitate to call us on freephone 0800 285 1992.

Dear Joanne,

Having discovered that one of my husband’s pensions had to be taken at 60 we had a bit of cash coming our way. Well, we could have put it all into buying an annuity, but the difference in annual income, between that and taking a lump sum and a smaller pension was very small. That is when we started to consider solar panels again.  This time we decided to contact T&K who are local to us. Putting something into our own local economy was a good idea and we knew that they had been around for years.

Firstly we asked what was the realistic chance of meeting the new deadlines. Straight questions were asked and we got prompt straight answers back.  Tony came and had a chat and measured up. He complied fully with our wishes not to make a day of it!

He rang as soon as he realised he would be a couple of minutes late and when he arrived, proceeded to explain clearly and concisely all we needed to know about solar panels.  We made it clear we would not be rushed, but would take just a couple of days to decide, he kept his word and we kept ours.

The surveyor was round within 36 hours of us signing up to the project and once we had our install date, which was quickly arranged,  it was all systems go.  The scaffolders arrived on a Friday afternoon and, quickly and efficiently, the front of the house was covered in scaffolding. On Monday morning the team with the panels arrived exactly when they said they would and the electricians a few minutes later.

A little after noon the panels were all up and by 1.45 I was waving the electricians goodbye.  We did have a little hiccup that affected our shower, but that was sorted out as fast as they possibly could and with good grace and humour.

The generation of electricity has exceeded our expectations  (£71.30) as I write, and mid February to mid March has seen all kinds of weather this year.

The office have been helpful and supportive and we have no hesitation in recommending T&K for Solar panel installation.

Alana and Georgie Barnes

Dear John,

May I compliment your team and how they gel together so well. The installation simply could not have gone more smoothly. I would recommend T&K to anyone who is considering a Solar PV installation.

In light of it, we are now thinking of having Solar Thermal for our hot water and an Air Source Heat Pump for our heating through you.

Thanks again.

Mr and Mrs Holt.

Isham, Kettering.

T&K will be exhibiting at the Renewable Energy Installer Exhibition at the at The iCon Environmental Innovation Centre, Eastern Way, Daventry, NN11 0QB on Tuesday, 13th March from 5pm to 8pm.

The purpose of the event is for householders and organisations to meet local installers of renewable energy at a free drop-in event for:

  • Information on renewable energy technologies including solar electricity, solar hot water, ground and air source heat pumps, biomass and small-scale wind turbines.
  • An opportunity to speak to renewable energy installers on the technical considerations, costs and payback times.
  • Details on generating an income from installing renewable energy technologies in relation to the Feed In Tariff Scheme and forthcoming Renewable Heat Incentive.
  • Planning advice from the Council’s Development Control Team.
  • An opportunity to visit the new iCon Environmental Innovation Centre of sustainable excellence.

Dear Joanne,

“Our expectations were exceeded in almost every way. The team were professional and helpful in discussing our solar panel options and once we had committed to purchasing our panels with T&K, the team swiftly and proficiently undertook the work. The installation team were pleasant and involved us in the detailed working of the system where we showed interest. Any remedial work was conducted as per our expectation and we would not hesitate in calling on the services of T&K in future.”

Hope this helps.

Nisha.

To T&K,

We have recently had solar panels installed by T&K and were impressed by the efficiency of the fitters and electricians.  The installation went smoothly, the workmen were polite and the interruption to our day was minimal.  Many thanks for your attention.

Mrs Hogg.

Dear John

When we spoke, you asked if I would give you feedback on our experiences with your company during the installation of our panels.

Initially, we came along to the presentation, really out of curiosity as we thought that the cost of installing the system would be too high to be worthwhile. However, after we had heard what you had to say, we decided to ask for a quotation. Shaun Garfirth came to see us and in view of the cost, we decided to proceed. Shaun gave us a very comprehensive overview of what was involved and the costing. We felt under no pressure to agree to the installation and were able to ask as many questions as we wished.

We were very impressed with the correspondence you sent to us, which laid out stage by stage exactly what would happen and when. We were also very happy with all your installers who were efficient, friendly, approachable and knowledgeable, which gave us confidence in your product and service. In fact, the electrician had done some preliminary work in advance of the installation, which saved time on the day.

We appreciated that, at the time, you were extremely busy and had to delay the installation date by a couple of days, but we accepted this and you informed us in good time, so there was no inconvenience. The resulting layout of panels and interior work is all neatly presented and finished.

We are very pleased indeed with the system and would have no hesitation in recommending T & K. We ourselves would certainly use your company again.

Thank you

John Vintiner

Dear Mr Leary,

We would like to thank you for your firm’s excellent service and installation of the solar panels on our roof. We cannot praise your team enough who were polite, punctual and explained everything about the installation itself. Your electrician Tim explained how the Wattson Solar handheld device works and the effects that shading can have on the panels and subsequently how much the system generates.

Jo in the office took us through how to complete all of our feed-in-tariff forms, on time and in full. She put our mind at rest, as with all honesty, we were quite nervous about filling in these forms to ensure that we receive the government feed in tariff payments.

We would wholeheartedly recommend T&K Solar to anyone considering having an installation. We are that happy we are looking into T&K installing Solar Thermal panels and an Air Source Heat Pump!

Thanks again.

Mr & Mrs Brown.

Commercial scale Solar PV can help businesses control spiralling electricity costs and can satisfy carbon reduction and corporate responsibility targets.

For new builds and upgrades to existing buildings alike, incorporating Solar Photovoltaics (PV) offers the following benefits:

  • You can recover the VAT as long as your business is VAT registered.
  • The capital investment may be tax deductible.
  • You will produce a general improvement in the environmental standing and perception of your business with all your stakeholders
  • Solar PV will help towards ISO14001 accreditation.
  • It will also help to protect you from future taxes on carbon emissions, particularly if you are involved in an industry where electricity consumption is high.

T&K Solar will be running a series of seminars at 11am on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th April 2012 at our premises at Huxley Close, Park Farm Industrial Estate, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. These seminars are focussed on the needs of the business community, and take into account the recent changes to the Feed in Tariff legislation.
At our April seminars, we will question and explore:-

  • Is this is a genuine investment and are the Government payments really guaranteed for 25 years?
  • What is the Feed In Tariff and how can you make a profit from it;
  • Will this seriously reduce your carbon emissions?
  • Will a Solar PV system increase the value of your premises?
  • How much money will you save on Electricity bills;
  • What happens if the property is sold before the 25 year guaranteed payments period;
  • Why you must use a MCS registered installer, governed by an independent Regulatory body;
  • Are all Solar Panels all the same as each other, and are some Panels better value for money than others?

All attendees will be shown the live and working 210 panel system installed on the Emplas Window Systems factory roof, the components used within the installation, and the monitoring of the output of the system showing both £ savings and CO2 savings.

The seminars will take place throughout the country and are targeted at Owners, Managing Directors, Financial Directors and Facilities Managers of businesses as well as architects, designers and construction companies.

Hi Joanne,

Our solar panels have now been installed and we would like to say that we are really pleased with them, they blend in with the roofline extremely well.  All the people involved with the transaction were very efficient, friendly and thorough. The panels were installed within four weeks of us placing our order, communication from your company was excellent throughout this time. We would certainly recommend both your products and your company to others.

Kind regards

Maureen and Robin Cooper.
